Well the saga of my poor little cabrio continues. It was running ok till the cam belt lost a few teeth, lots of bent valves  Got a replacement engine fitted (y) and since then the injector light is on, occasionally stalls and runs a bit 'rough' at low speed, above about 2000 rpm the injection light goes off

Well took it down to the fiat dealer today to have the codes read to see what the problem is. Unfortunatly even they cannot get the ecu to talk to their diagnostic machine so they cannot read the codes. They say this happens a bit with old punto's and can be earth/wiring problem.

Does anyone have any idea's what to look for, also where is the ecu on a 1.6 90elx cabrio?

Any help gratefully received else it may be the scrapyard for it

If you look inside behind the stereo head unit, there will be your ecu screwed to the floor with loads of wires coming out of it, under the heater matrix, so when that fails the water goes all over the ecu....great idea fiat:bang: ....hope this helps, let me know (y)
