my mk1 55 rev counter 5000 rpm ??????????

you always talking about 5000 revs and more when i have a feelling that my car engine is going to explode in 4000 revs?
is my rev counter accurate ? it is a sx fitted rev .

at ideal my rev shows 800 rpm so i think it's accurate.
is it possible that i am over worried to pull the rev ?
thanks mates

yes and yes.
nothing wrong with keeping the revs below 4000.
you can occasionally take it up to 5k & beyond safely as long as the engine is correctly serviced

I think the 1.1 engines rev limiter kicks in around 7000 revs 5000 is only mildly busy!
