Hello People!!

I've a continuous problem with the tail light clusters on my 1995 Punto 55S. My brake light will flash with my indicator, the rear fog light comes on, the reverse lights will flash, it looks like Disco Stu's bedroom when i make a turning. I've been informed by a friend with a punto that this is a common fault, yet ive not seen any similar problems in this forum.

I've tried cleaning the earth pins on the boot, and changing the connection plugs at the back of the clusters but nothing. It will all work perfectly for a couple of days then all go to pot again.

As you can tell i'm very frustrated with it and i'm thinkin of torching my car because of it.

Any help would be great,
Thanx for listening,
Pigeon.

Clean all the connections (plug and connector) in the tail lights, take out all the bulbs and clean the connectors, check for damage or anything that may cause a bridge.
Check and tighten all the earth points on the car.

It is an earth leak somewhere.

Evil-Punto AKA Evilution.

I get the feeling water is to blame here. Attack with wd40 as well as a bit of electrical cleaner fluid for the connections.

Spirito di Punto | M-reg 55SX, black, 5dr. Clear repeaters. I'm fitting remote locking this week!!

I've been having the same problem as pigeon in my 1996 Punto 55 SX, I regulary clean all the contacts but the problem seems to be intermitent.

Forgive me for sounding a bit stupid but where are the earth points to tighten, and where exactly do I attack with WD40 and electrical cleaner?

I don't mind doing mechanical problems but I'm a bit scared of electics!

Hope you can help,
Thanks.
