Technical removing mk1 rear door handles?

Just found the mintiest set of door cards today, from a front endedsilver (very nice other than the crash, has the elx alloys too iff anyone isineterested) 85 16v ELX 5door. so got the funky front panels with the speakers in them, in nearly the same blue as my upholsteery, also might take the seats and racks as they are split foldingand cleaner/less worn than mine.

Anyway, how do I remove the window winders from the doors without breaking them, haynes doesn'thelp, and when I was in the yard I just snapped them off, seemed to be some C clip holding it on, but can't get at it, so how do I take mine off and put them back withuot breaking them?

also taking all the dashboard wiring loom anddoing leccy front windows(near miss today with a pedestrian as I was trying to wind down the pass window from drivers side ) and speakers etc etc

does this elx have any parts i can have? whats it got? colour coded rear bumper? colour coded mirrors?

yup its got the GT3 style colour coded mirrors, right one is mint, left one is scratched a bit (most likly by some forklift driver error). BUT THEY ARE MINE!!

Its got seats that have bolsters like sportings do (1.2 sportings), and they are really neat, no marks, dirt or sogginess, and the foam is in great nick too, done 74k miles, but seats feel near new!.

It has everythign except ABS (actually it might have ABS as I spotted a wired block of metal in teh engine bay with brake pipes in it, didn't think about it thoguh, thats an impossible mod) and side skirts, front bumper is totalled, it does have a drivers air bag, split folding seats with rear headrests too! It has the weird ELX alloys (resonable nick, one tyre dead) rear bumper again hit by forklift so not worth a dime.

What do you want from it? it has a dark grey coloured centre console and dash, unlike Gt's etc that have light grey coloured bits.

also has a weird steering wheel, cos of the airbag,

DID have 6speaker type door cards, BUT i've had them away already

Cant remember on the 5dr punto's but they may require a special tool for removal. IT slide down the back of the handle and releases the C slip holding it in place

tried a rag, couldn't fit it in there, so I found a small jewelry screwdriver and jabbed it in there, then just kept winding it back and forth till it popped both sides of the clip, got the knack of it no problem now

How do you get the winders back on tho?

push the little circlip back into the handle in the right orientation, then just push it back onto door when you have it all back together, the little clip then holds it on!!
I didn't loose any clips, so if anyone looses one then I can post you a spare if you need it!
