Hi, i have a selecta sx 60 with a sticky / nocthy cvt box. gear selection is very easy without engine started. as soon as car starts up the selection is very dificult to select. the gears occasionaly make a graunch noise? i guess it needs looking at the convertor or box? does anyone know exactly the issue of can recommend someone who can fix? Is there some fiat selecta specialists for cvt box out there that can fix? local to south london?
regards Angelo

thaks for your reply but its a shame as it has only done 45k from new. auction means that someone else will get the problem?
the body is very good and interior as new. i have seen posts on ebay that suggest they can fix with a electro mechanical clutch? is it worth finding out if someone can fit? or are there any kits out there?

yes but probably a dealer who will find it easier to fix.
a new clutch is about £600 just for the part, its only worth getting a used one from a crashed car, if there is one not crashed in the scrappy chances are that its the same bit at fault:(

Hello everybody,
Need help referring to Punto Mk1, 1996, Selecta gearbox problem. A few years ago I was changing electromagnetic clutch (reparate) and since then was OK. Before was sticking, etc...well known problem. Couple weeks ago it started to stick again, gearbox warning light started to blink and I thought that the powder clutch again make some problems. I reparated it again (new powder, etc..) and put it back. It was good first 5 km, when started to behave at the same maner as before. It sticks, gearbox warning light blinks, etc. When I put the gear in N and start to change into D again, nothing happen. Then I should turn off the engine and after couple minutes it can work, but it sticks again. There is enough oil in the gearbox. Any help from the experts? Thanks
