Hi Guys, im new here!

Got a 96 Punto 55SX and need to replace the rear quarter panel on the drivers side.

I dont suppose any of you have any tips/advice on how to change this?

All help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers
Caroline

I think the rear panels on a Punto are part of the main body structure, i.e. to replace them will require careful cutting and welding.
Hope you're good with an angle grinder and a MIG!

It has to be cut off and a new one welded on. but a good body shop should be able to pull out the one you have got and flatten out the ripples.

Hi. i also need to replace the rear quater panel on my punto mk1 (also on drivers side). it is a 5dr, but is to damaged to be beaten out/filled. does anybody have any idea what it would cost to get a new panel welded in and sprayed?? thanks for any help on this post.

I've actually bought the rear quarter panel and light, it can cost anything from £80.

I was just wondering if it was possible for us to replace it ourselves, maybe taking it to a pro willbe a better idea [?]

I wouldn't mind it had only been replaced a few days before :(
