im looking for a set of uprated boot struts/lifters, do any other cars have the same size that are stronger?

ps. for mk1.

mmm its strange how my uno ones are perfect yet the punto ones are completly ****ed.

so anyone know any that will fit from maybe a larger car so they should be stronger?

no its not punto has done more shopping

Either citroen BX or Volvo 340ones would fit i think? just gota be fairly similar distance or else the boot wont close right or it wont go far enough up

I fitted a pair of Vauxhall Carlton estate struts on my Y10 nearly lifted the front wheels off the ground when I shut the hatch!

I tried buying some new ones, and on a hot day it will lift the boot well. But all other times there is no benefit.

Audi A3 + golf's are similar size so try them.

We used to have two BX's and being the GTi model you get an aluminium and fibreglass composite boot, which is damn light (lighter than puntos eqv without glass on either) and ultimatly the reason the first was written off as the joiner between the materials fractured.:bang:
