Need a new cat. Was advised by the garage that "the more you spend the better you'll get".
However what aftermarket ones are people recommending?

My 1994 Punto 55 needed a new cat after one of the two coils failed and I decided to drive it home anyway, the unburnt petrol burning out the matrix in places.

I got onto an online spares supplier (www.oscaro.es) and ordered one at 64 euros delivered to my door in Almeria.

It came with a stamped and notarised certificate in Spanish which certified it as being suitable for the model and year of my car.

I fitted it without incident and it's still in use and passing annual tests several years later.

The package was delivered from a warehouse base in Stornoway, in the Scottish North Atlantic !!

I would not be aftraid to order another cheapo if I needed one.
