The 1997 cabriolet ...now luxuriating in Classic Insurance Status!..has started moaning to itself after it is switched off! Odd clicking and regular buzzing/moaning noises from under the bonnet! No warning lights, nothing not working. Sounds like an electric servo type noise! rather than solenoids or relays clicking (the Subaru Legacy does that, all on its own too!)
Noticeable in the hot weather particularly. The fan whirrs away after switching off, but shuts down normally, no problem.
Any ideas? or live with it?
