My old uncle has a Punto MkI which has a persistent slow leak from one of the wheels. The tyre fitters reckon the rim is corroded and can't do much about it.

I've had a look for a seconda-mano wheel but they're rather scarce now.

He has 4.5 x13" ET35.

If it was me, I'd stick a set of 18" alloys on it.... :D but my uncle is just a regular old bloke who wants a cheap and basic fix.

So... what other Fiat steel wheels would fit the Punto?

I tried Panda but that's a 5.0 x 13" (so I'd need two and then educate the old boy to keep them on the same axle etc.)

The nearest I can find is some space-saver spares that seem to be the exact size .. but they're usually orange (which won't tickle uncle's fancy) and some have a plate on the back, to give the correct offset (where the wheel replaces an alloy wheel etc.).

I'm also not sure if a space-saver has the same bead profile as the regular 155/70x13 tyre (not sure why it should.. but it might).

So overall, a space-saver "spare" wheel, but re-fitted with a regular tyre is probably a non-starter. Any other 4.5 x 13 ET35 out there?

well has anyone checked the rim? Usually you can clean them up and the seal fine, has to be super crusty to not clean up.

failing that, price of new steelies i'd just buy some new ones and be done with it..

here is the size you said he has https://www.oponeo.co.uk/steel-wheel/alcar-kfz-3345#21067227

A costumer had the same problem.

We just cleaned the area and used tire-glue (don't know the specific name) and that helped.

You could also use body-filler and form up your wheels.

But if you just want quick and cheap option, you could just buy a set or just 2 wheels from the used market on the internet like Craigslist or something in your country
