Technical Power steering pump serviceable?

Hi!

My pump is leaking ATF, wondering therefore if the pump is serviceable in anyway?

I would have thought a local hydraulic company could do this as im sure it would only be a seal that would need replacing.

Yes but but not practical at home like gearbox work

Ill have a look at an old one that i have lying around and see if i can get it apart.

Went ahead myself as well. It's possible to remove the backing plate ring, but haven't found a way yet to remove the backing plate itself. It's not moving by after the ring is removed, so I am guessing it's has been pushed in.

Anyone a clever idea how to remove it undamaged?

I managed to remove the backing plate with compressed air.

Why not? Drill a hole in the housing and push out the blind circlip! Dismantle , new seals and bearing! Sinple bench job.
