Hi Guys
Just bought a 55S after a test drive.
What didn't show up then (but did on the way home) is that if you sit with your foot on the clutch (eg: in queue ot T-junction waiting to move)after about 45 secs (but NOT immediately) a noise like a loose exhaust pipe rattling starts up. Stops immediately the clutch is let up. It is not dependent on position of gear lever - happens in both 1st & neutral.
This is not repeatable but a 1 in 5 occurance.
I haven't actaully worked out whether it is the engine shaking (eg: a misfire - but caused by pressing the clutch???) or something inside the clutch housing (my favorite theory).
Before anyone says clutch bearing on the way out, the noise is NOT a squeal like that, it is a rattle.
All ideas welcome.
Also - the radio wants a code to be entered but the code on the vehicle documentation doesn't work. Alternatives to buying a new radio please?
all things must pass.
