I have a 99 Cabrio 1.2 and want to connect the Multiecuscan, where is the socket? I presume the airbag one is the yellow cable behind the radio but where is the other socket? I have searched this site without success, All seem to refer to Mk2 Punto in google as well. TIA

On our 94 cabrio it is mounted on the side of the cover over the relays on the bulkhead in the engine bay. We don't have airbags, so don't know about a yellow cable.

3 pin diagnostic port is right by the ecu, should have a cap on it to prevent dirt ingress.

Found it but can't get to connect to it, I have the VAG KKL cable and the 3 pin cable, just won't connect, I have scanned it and it finds COM port etc but am really stuck now.

cant really help there, I've never really had an issue connecting MES to anything so dunno what the common issues are. If you contact the creator though he's generally pretty helpful.
