So my indicators (both turning and emergency) sometimes work perfectly and sometimes they don't work at all, i can drive for 2 hours and they work perfectly then they suddenly just stop working. I want to start with checking the earthing points but where the hell are they? I have a -96.

I was thinking about checking the relay (no idea where it is though) but it's weird because when they work they work perfectly.. Is there some sort of troubleshooting guide for indicators? I'm lost.

Any help is appreciated.

As it is affecting both indicators and hazards, I would start with the relay. On my 94 90ELX it is located in the little fusebox accessed from the glovebox. It could just be a corroded contact providing an intermittent fault.

I really don't know what the exact problem is, i removed and disassembled the relay and nothing seemed to be wrong with it (no corrosion or w/e).

All I needed to do was to keep it pressed in with a little force for the blinkers to work, so i just placed a piece of tape at the side of the relay as i pressed it in to keep it snug and now it works fine (still do a few days later). Might still be the relay but works for now and it's an old car so can't be arsed to change it before it gives up completely :D
