Hi.
Car is the mk1 1.2 16v 85 sporting.
Slight issue with a dash gauge that barely rises. On a run it does move a bit more but i dont trust or rely on it.car starts and runs absolutely fine so i bought a new temp sender 1 pin red but cant see where this goes.
Does this FIRE 16v motor just have one single sensor for coolant temp or does it have a coolant temp sensor for cold starts plus a gauge sender somewhere on the block cos i can only find one blue 2 pin sensor at the back.....
I also get quite a gurgling sound on start up. Opened the bleed screws in the matrix hoses and nothing really came out but they are hot.

ecu temp sender is on the inlet manifold on the lower metal part at throttle body end..

from memory on the 16v the gauge sender is at the other end of the head to the 8v, near the thermostat at the rear of the head.
