I couldn’t find the for sale but on my phone.
I’m in no rush to do this but here goes

For sale is my 1995 Fiat Punto 1.2mpi 75 ELX 5 door finished in metallic giallio exploit (237) with contrasting grey velour interior (162)

Some people see this as just an old Punto, but This car is my baby and I have owned it for 3 years and I am only the third owner, with the car spending its first 19 years down in Leeds with one lady owner the being registered to the person who sold the car on her behalf, originally being supplied by Carnell Fiat in Castleford on November 3rd 1995.

The car is very original and in exceptionally good condition for a 22 year old car- reason for reluctant sale is lack of use- its only done around 4000 miles in my ownership and has only been out the garage three times this year- once being for Its mot. The car has approx 74,200 miles. It's been garaged 95% of its life. I have only had it out in the rain a couple of times but its always cleaned again before being put back in the garage, with a car cover over it.

Being an ELX this was the top spec Punto back in 1995 and all the features still work. It has an electric tilt/ slide sunroof, electric front windows with one touch function, drivers airbag, rear head rests, front fog lights and height adjustable drivers seat with adjustable lumbar support.
This also has fitted the desirable 75bhp multi point injection 1.2 litre Fire engine which makes this car now pretty rare- there're only 36 left on the roads (most 75's have been broken up for the engine and its 866 cam). This is the cars original engine and all the numbers match up. The car is hpi clear and as far as I can see has never been in a bump.
The colour is also very bright and shiny and the paintwork is in very good condition.

In the time I have had the car, I've gave it a very light tidy up- replacing worn or damage parts, but the car has had no paintwork repair in its life, and when I got it, it still had the factory rear tyres on it.

The car benefits from having a full service history, and as I work in a Fiat main dealer, the last 3 services have been done by qualified Fiat master techs, and it has never had an advisory on an mot in its time with me either. It's currently mot'd until 15th august 2018, and not due a service until April so is good to go.
The car is always taken off the road over the winter months and the low mileage is backed up on its mot history.
In my ownership I have carried out the following work to the car to get it driving spot on-

72k major service, timing belt, tensioner- genuine parts
81k service- genuine parts
90k service- genuine parts
Always used Selena 10w40 semi synthetic
Coolant change using the correct Paraflu coolant
Brake fluid change
Camshaft oil seal renewal- genuine
Complete exhaust renewal except CAT
New discs and pads -genuine
Track rod ends
Lucas clutch kit
Alternator
Battery- genuine
Handbrake cables- genuine
Rear brake cylinders- genuine

The car also has some hard to find parts fitted-

Fiat Lineaccesorie front and rear mud flaps
Genuine Fiat Punto fitted mats (mint)
Genuine Fiat headlamp protectors (mint)

The car has two sets of wheels- optional Punto GT 14" alloys (repainted when fitted, few light stone chips but no kerbing) with Goodyear efficient grip tyres- these had brand new genuine Fiat centre caps when I fitted them and genuine locking nuts in their box, and also the original steel wheels, with Goodyear duragrip tyres and unmarked original ELX 14" trims. The spare wheel is present and correct and has never been on the car and the tools never used.
All of the window stickers that should be on the car when new are on it, as are engine bay stickers, and it still has its original dealer number plates.
The original Philips dc710 is there as well as a Philips rc026 6disc changer in the boot, however this is unplugged at the moment as it stopped working. There is also a spare of each.

I have also fitted colour coded door mirrors, but I still have the original black textured mirrors if you wish the car to go back to completely stock. The boot badges have been replaced with brand new ones to freshen it up and the rub strips on the two rear doors have been replaced as the originals were damaged.

There is a massive folder with the cars history, brochures, press launch packs, Haynes and porters manuals, Fiat workshop CD-ROM.
The car has 2 blue keys and the all important red master key, 2 of the keys have never been used.
There are also a load of spare parts to go with the car.

Underneath the car last year, it was treated with black stonechip, the sills and wheel arches have been waxoyled and cavity wax sprayed into every nook and crannie I could get it into. The exhaust and engine block have been painted with VHT silver paint, and the engine bay is immaculate for an old car.

Bad points- well it's 22 years old but there are very few-

Slight bubbling on the o/s/r wheel arch and boot lock, stone chips on the bonnet which have been touched in with the correct colour- a genuine touch up pen will go with the car. There are also a few age related marks but it's very, Very good considering it's age.
The piping on the drivers seat has frayed but I've always had a seat cover on the drivers seat to keep it clean so it hasn't bothered me.
N/s/r lip on the sill is a bit crusty due to being jacked up wrong in the past- actual sill is fine it's just the lip.
Very small pin dent under the o/s/r light that my dent man can't get to.

However, seeing how much good Punto Gt's are going for now (£3-4,000) I think £1700 is a fair price for mine as it's in a desirable colour, is rarer than a GT and has been maintained with no expense spared.
If it doesn't sell I'll keep it in the garage.
