Hi welcome ,
I don't think you will get a decent second hand one unless your very very lucky as most of them do rot on the filler neck , best bet is to fit a plastic tank from another mk 1 , you will need the straps that hold it up to the floor too and fit a gt pump , the pumps are still available new , I had one off eBay .

Hi mate,

Thank you, can you send me a link on where I can buy the tank and sender unit as I have no clue on where to look please, I would be very grateful

If you just search eBay for mk 1 punto , there are a few breaking for spares , gt pumps on there too [emoji1303]

What about buying it brand new, is there any where I can buy them

I'm just worried that the 2nd hand one maybe no good, would prefer new if possible

Steve Gt is trying to say/tell you the 2nd hand NON GT tanks are plastic so that means no rotting away. I'm sure MOTOR HOG spares have a few dismantling at the moment sure they will have a TANK. (y)

Changed the petrol tank on my gt today for a plastic one as mine sprung a leak . Now what I didn't realise two of the original mounting points at each end on the car body foul the plastic tank so I had to grind them off , other than that a straight swap using the two straps that hold the tank up to the floor , the higher you can get the car the better . for more clearance remove the wheel near the filler neck too [emoji373][emoji373][emoji373]
