Hi there, recently my car has started to make a sort of snapping noise when i put the clutch down and up and it feels very stiff, also when i pump it up and down when the engine is running it makes a knocking sound almost like its hitting against the engine.
I was wondering what to do, do i need to buy a full clutch system or do i just a need a small part eg cable? It also slips a little when i pull away and then it has a shaky judder.

oh and it got stuck half way yesterday and i had pump it 2 or 3 times and then it workerd again. Please let me know what you think. Dan :)

what about the slight slipping and the juddering, is that still do with the clutch release bearing??

oh and also its a c*nt to pull away up a hill because of the slipping and judering.

If you can afford it replace the whole the clutch - i did on mine and it became a dream to drive! Well being a punto when I say dream I really mean it was alright to drive, instead of being a complete nightmare.

I recon its best to renew the lot, friction plate, pressure plate and release bearing, for the extra cost involved. I would also get the release arm checked at the same time as these have been known to bend /crack
