Hi,
i have Fiat Punto (older model) and it has central locking built in (probably original).

I want to be able to control it remotely, I have a RC transmitter and receiver already built. The receiver(will be fitted in car) has just some simple relay which is either switched on or off.

the problem is that i don't know where should I connect it in the car?

Should I disassemble the drivers door? or is it in the fuse box?

i would bye a alarm and do it that way then bang u have remote central locking and 2 keep unwanted peeps away m8

Be a bit wary, if the receiver switches on or off a relay, you could find that it will discharge the battery when parked (depending on how it's wired) or even lock or unlock all the doors if the battery is disconnected.

What you need is a receiver unit in the car with a pulse output - say a 1 sec pulse on the closed wire and a 1 sec pulse on the open wire to connect it in.

OK OK, actualy my receiver is able to do what you said it has 2 relays and every one is controlled separately by 2 switches on the transmitter (pulse is about 0,8 sec).

but again where can i find the close and the open wires in the car???????

Ok i was about to say i fancy putting one of these in my punto when i get it, but reading your post fixit has totally put me off lol! [xx(] No wire tinkering for me!

It would probably make my Warranty burn in the firey depths of Fiat hell wouldn't it? Mind you i'd rather do it myself than have any Fiat technician touch my car lol! ;)
