I RECENTLY GOT MY MK1 60SX PUNTO LOWERED BY 60MM WITH G-MAX SUSPENSION. ALTHOUGH THE HANDLING HAS GREATLY IMPROVED AND ITS SITTING ON THE DECK, IM A BIT CURIOUS ABOUT THE OCCASIONAL RATTLING NOISES WHICH COME FROM THE SPRINGS WHEN EVEN GOING OVER THE MILDEST OF BUMPS IN THE ROAD. THE SPRINGS ARE THE MATCH FOR THE SHOCKS AS THEY WERE IN THE SAME BOX. WHAT IM WONDERING IS, IS THIS NORMAL AS THEY ARE BUDGET SPORTS SUSPENSION AND HAVE ANY OTHER PUNTO DRIVERS HAD THIS EXPERIENCE OR IS IT LOOSE OR BADLY FITTED OR A LOAD OF ####

I have this problem with with my g-max springs on my punto but i have found out what the problem is. If you look at the springs the top of the coils are very close together and knock on each other. It does get better tho as the springs get worn in.

The dampers are harder than standard so don't recoil as quick as the standard shocks, the springs are also shorter so they rattle around in the cups. Im sure you can get rubber sleeves that will stop this.

there are holes 4 tie wraps should use them if u dont thay will nake noise and if thay get pulled to tight thay will putt the spring off line and will also do it! you also need to cut the bump stops if u dont take enough off thay will do it and if u take off to much the coils rattle it sucks but will get better in time like the boyo said

A girl phoned me the other day and said, 'come on over; nobody's home." I went over. Nobody was home.
