Re: My exploit yellow 75 elx

😡😤
Car has a very slight oil leak coming from the camshaft oil seal.
It's not big but it's making a mess of my immaculate engine and this will not do!

Ordered some seals, just trying to decide whether this is a job I can tackle myself as I'm 100% not mechanically minded.....

Easy job or a pita???

cheers man.
It is such a Bonny colour in the sun.

My dent guy said these things are a pain in the hoop, because the curves in the doors, which are like magnets for dents.

Re: My exploit yellow 75 elx

🙁 Bloody bikes.

Apparently if the bonnet is dented where the badge is, it cannot be repaired, has to be filled and painted. Donno how true it is

Can't see your picture...

The paint cracked a little but otherwise was decent unless you went over the car with a fine tooth comb. Maybe not good enough for a future classic but Tbf he did 2 panels and a wing respray for sub 200 quid so probably better quality jobs available.

Edited with better before picture also here's an after that's not under bodge detector lights

Re: My exploit yellow 75 elx

Mine is about 1/4 of the way up the bonnet on the single skin so should be ok 🏻

Re: My exploit yellow 75 elx

Tbf the main issues you may have would be if the panel is creased or stretched or if the paint doesn't take well to being moved around.

Mine was done by a half arsed garage tech trying to free a struck bonnet so the dents were rounded and the paint intact.
