I did ask about getting a seperate section for us , but it was deemed unpractical......... but this thread is growing more interesting with each post.

As for the colours, that personally interests me greatly.

15 colours the misses won't be happy.

I suggested over a few beers one each colour would be good...told her 7. Still she won't know until no:8.

How many colours do we have on here?

I've got black and white

As for colours all were available on the cabriolet, however "Speed Red 148" is a Cabriolet only and wasnt availble in the UK (as far as Im aware anyway). However the Cabriolet was never sold in the UK as anything other than ELX spec with either the 1.6 and later the 1.2 16V with manual gearboxs. However some "grey" imports made it over in RHD with the 1.2 8V and also Ive seen a couple of autos as well.

My cabby is Red, but i need to check which one, if its the rare colour, ill put it back....... at the moment, its a F#RD red.

ooooops.

Blu, as for a trailer, i have a donor, mk1, but not a cabby.......... yet. lol.

Wouldnt do one out of the cabby again. Far too much trouble and weight!

Really ? How come, ive built a few, but never from a Mk1 cab.........

All the extra strengthening in the rear and in the sills, plus I left mine quite long so there is a fare amount of nose weight. Towed ok though and none of the fiberglass or filler cracked/fell out.

Thanks, i know the sills are alot wider than normal.

Just throwing this one out to fellow Cab owners, a strut brace in the engine bay, helps loads in my opinion, even with the roof down........ helps with the dreaded scuttle shake.

I've never fitted one and never really had any problems.

Is it worth fitting one?

If you do the front should you do the back ?

Im quite a spirited driver and enjoy cornering as well as straight line speed .......... its been lowered, wider wheels, a little engine tuning........

To me , the brace made a great difference. I dont have a rear one. The front was meant for a non 16v model. But like to adapt things. I may have a look at a rear and possibly a lower front in the future.

There might be one less on the register :(

Have been told I should be able to buy her back. Have wing and a door just need a rear panel. Or another cabriolet with a sound body!
