Hello all. I need to replace the coolant temp sensor. Can anyone tell me exactly where it is ? Have had a search on here and looked in Haynes manual but I'm still not sure. Thank you

what engine have you got? Where the sensor is located depends on whether you have a P55/60/75 or a 1.6 Sporting, 1.2 sporting or a GT. There is also more than one temp sensor for coolant on some of them.

So what model have you got, and as suggested above - why do you want to changet he sensor???

Hello all. It's the 1.2 60 version. Trouble with hot starting so want to eliminate that from being the problem and it's a pretty cheap part to replace.

In this case you should replace the blue one, as the other one is not used for engine management purposes.

Hello.Yep it was the blue one I replaced. When I went to the motor factors they know exactly what I wanted having sold and I quote " loads of em". Seems to have worked but will know more when my son gets back from college later today

cant find that in haynes

Thats out of the cinq haynes, but as fingers said - they use the same sensor. I don't have a punto haynes but it should be in the same place i would have thought.. Beginning of each chapter there is a page with such things and torque settings etc.
