is it possible to paint them?
also can I paint the frame into blue or any other colour like in the picture?

ive seen people on another forum
using a Blue permant marker to colour there white needles in with,

as of the soround if they separate from clocks you shouid be able to spray it
hopefuly someone else will confirm,

im mk2 a owner sorry carnt help much

I know you can take the clockset apart and paint the surround, I have never seen the needles painted before but I cant see why not although I think they are clear so that they illuminate at night. I would suggest going to a scrapyard and getting a spare set and playing with them. Try not to remove the needles though as they are a pain to get back at the right level so they dont read out. Also think about white dials why youre at it?

I putted black led dials from ebay without removing the needles.
just putted the cards onto it:

it doesn't look so good with white needles. also the mileage is in yellow.
the Visual Performance ones look so much better I think:

I want to change my needles to red/blue without removing them, also how can I change the colour of the mileage?

Buy some led bulbs that go into the back of the dials I think the bulb holders on the back are brown colour I bought some t5 LEDs and pulled the bulb out if holder and replaced with these only use smd LEDs they last a lot longer then standard or high bright ones avoid china only uk bulbs I you change all the brown holders with blue LEDs your needles will light up blue aswell

Would GT skirts fit 5 door without drilling holes or anything?

They can be silicones on but I'm going to put proper fittings on by drilling the holes and yep they do fit 5 door
