hey all, ive got a Mk1 1996 punto, an im gettin pssed of wit the black bumper as there not colour coded, any1 no if i can fit the colour coded bumpers on2 it an where i can get them from?

Yep, the colour coded bumpers will fit straight on from any Mk1 Punto.
I would suggest calling on a few breakers yards (try www.fiatsalvage.co.uk)
if you have a common colour it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Don't be tempted to spray your black ones.

You can have the bumpers sprayed using a special paint, but a bodyshop should do it. Probably cost you around £200-250 though. There is actually no difference in the bumpers as far as I know, the coloured ones are just black ones sprayed.

Not sure how much it will take but use primer until smooth look apears then top coat. you can get tind of primer from pound land 300ml tins white or grey.
The fiat colered bumpers are not black ones painted coz ive seen a smashed up silver one and the silver goes all the way through.

Go on then, spray the black bumpers, don't say I didn't warn you.
The black textured bumpers are made of a more flexable plastic so they can take more of a knock and be pushed back out. The coloured bumpers are more ridgid, flex less and therefore the paint stays on. I have seen a fair share of black painted bumpers and in the long run they crack.

im sorry for saying this as im am brand new to the forum....:I
but im a paint sprayer by trade for the past 17 years and must of colour coded hundreds of punto bumpers in my time... we had a contract with reg vardy fiat and the previos owners to colour code new punto's both bumpers and wing mirrors...
there is no difference in plastic quality between the smooth and textured bumpers...
regarding spraying the textured ones so they look smooth is a simple process..
regarding u take note of these instructions..
flat the bumpers with gray scotchbrite and matting paste, wash off well, and mask up the inserts...
de-grease the bumper, then tack off..
spray clear plastic primer on bumpers first, leave for 10 mins then wet on wet primer, leave for 15 mins, spray on any 2k paint - 2 coats, leave 5 mins between coats.. then let bumpers dry either 30 mins in a oven or overnight..
after 2k is dry, flat bumpers with 320 grit paper, de-grease and tack off.... then spray on desired colour....
an arse on but cheaoer than buying 2 new bumpers....

If u believe look 2 the dawn.. There can be only one true god

know what u r saying m8y, but non fiat bumpers are 35 quid each.... brand new..
so say 70 bar for the pair,180 to paint.... 250 bar for 2 brand new colour co-ordinated bumpers. well worth it i reckon...
but each to their own ...
