Hi guys, hoping you can put my mind at rest.

My rear drum brakes are on their way out which in turn means the handbrake doesn't hold the car well. I have had both ends adjusted to the max to no effect. I'm getting rid of the car in a couple of months thanks to screwed rear suspension so its not worth me getting them sorted, but for the time being where I live I'm having to park on a hill. I park facing upwards, and put the car in 1st to prevent it rolling back as the handbrake is not strong enough on its own. My question is, how much chance is there of the car rolling back whilst in 1st? I'm quite paranoid that I'm gonna come out one morning and its rolled back into someone elses car!

I am pointing my wheels away from the curb so if it does roll back it will hopefully rest against it.

Someone please put my mind at ease!
