Hi again everyone!

My last thread about Tinting Rear Lights became a heated debate, so I hope that changing my interior won't be as bad ;)

I've got a 60SX (5 door) and my interior is quite (n) to be honest.

Number 1) Seats:
Will the Corsa D SXI front and rear seats fit (I know they're from a Corsa but they're real comfortable!), unless someone has seats like that that they know about? I prepared to dig the seating bit by bit! (y)

I'm not REALLY looking for leather as much as fabric but I'm open minded so any suggestions are welcome :)

Number 2) Dash/Door Panels (Arm Rests)/Instrument Cluster

I'm going to give Jimi a change of identity at some point before the summer and paint the car pure white :p so for him to be colour coded in the future which paint and lacquer/finish should I use for the dashboard and the arm rests on the door panels?
And I suppose eBay will be best to find a silver/white instrument cluster?

A massive thank you to everyone for helping in advance!! :)

GT seats are very comfy and quite supportive. They look very similar to some mk2 seats (could comment on which models though). Seats from other cars is doable but you will need to custom mount them in some way or another.

Do you mean paint to colour the actual dash itself?? You will need proper plastic paint which actually dies the plastic, i would imagine you'll need to use something like a yellow first if your intending on going white. Foliatec make some stuff that would work, sure there will be other brands but thats the one i know off top of my head. http://www.foliatecuk.com/colour-sprays/

First of all thank you for your help!! :D

Are you saying that the MK2 seats will be fairly easy to fit without the need for custom mounts? Or are you saying they will be EASIER in general to fit than the Corsa D SXI seats? I heard that some people have used Alfa Romeo 147's seats, but I can't find any decent ones :(

I mean THe actual dash :D and the whole thing! :p I will try to keep the colour to White and Red, seeing as I'm going to change Jimi's identity before the summer ;) he's going White and Red too :D or White and Green, haven't decided yet! (y)
Except Foliatec, do I need to prime it too? Or lacquer finish it?

i mean that GT ones will go straight in, and that some mk2 ones look like they might go in but i have never compared the actual subframes so i'm not sure, but as the seat looks the same it may have the same subframe, you'd have to do a bit more research to be sure unless someone else comes along that knows for sure.... GT also has driver height adjustment.

With that Foliatec stuff, it actually penetrates the surface and dies the plastic, it does not NEED lacquer as if you scratch the dash it should be dyed benesath the surface. The dash does need to properly clean before doing it and if your wanting to colour a dark plastic like grey or black it is advised you primer it, either with the special primer they sell or some of the yellow colour spray. As white will struggle to completely dye the darker colours. I haven't used any for about 10 years though so read the instructions!! sure they have developed the product over the last decade (one would hope). Its defo a dash out of car job.

GT MK2 will go straight in, huh? :chin: I'm more than happy to try it for myself and MAKE it fit! :p

As for the dash, that's awesome! Sounds like that's gonna be a BIG job! But I'm definitely up for DYI=ing it :)

Who reads instruction nowadays? We got Google ;) Aha! :p

But yeah, I'll dig up some info on Foliatec first and see if any improvements have been made and/or try and have a look at other competing brands (y)

Thank you for all your help Mr. blu! :D

I have a set of GT seats available from a GT2 in perfect condition. I wouldn't want too much for them.

Another good upgrade is changing the centre console for a sporting/GT/Elx one. goes down much further and makes the whole car feel more upmarket, I also have a spare one of these if you are interested! Not that I am turning this into a parts for sale thread!!

its fine to offer in threads as that's just helpful, just keep the rest to PMs to keep it tidy ;)

Posting said things constantly all over the shop clearly trying to advertise is what's frowned upon.
Sorry Mr. blu, will keep all offers and stuff to PMs (y)
