where does the phase sensor go in a punto gt mk1??? where does it sit???

down front of the engine, near the coil... Small thing with a view glass on it and a spinny round thing inside.

can you be specific ? this is the thing i am posting this for the bf whilst he in a garage

sorry i went out to mess with my GT and now its too dark... There is only one thing down there with a sight glass, can't go wrong.

What the hell is a phase sensor. Never hear of one with that name.

its new to me as well since getting th GT - apparently more accurate signal than the crank sensor, why it has both is beyond me.. Once you timed the car up the normal way you have to take it out and aline a mark inside (a spinning around disc) with a line on the sight glass.

OK, I think I understand now. Misread the GT bit as such a sensor don't think exist on the standard 1.2 8V MK1 that I have.
