Morning All, I've a 98 Punto that, to be honest, I don't want to throw any more money on.

S Reg, Blue
143,000 miles
Head Gasket gone
Radiator leaking
A few minor scratches here and there but no bumps or rust
Taxed and tested until April 2013

Apart from the above, it really does run fine. I've had it for 6+ years at 89,000 and it's had new clutch, clutch master cylinder, starter motor, batteries & rear ball joint.

It's ideal for an amateur mechanic and i'm sure a few hours labour and £50 would get it all back up to speed in no time.

Realistically, what kind of price would I get for it?

Any help appreciated
Cheers Kev

Get the Head Gasket done at a reasonable price and then sell it, this way you will gain more from it.

£300.00 Plus to sell with a new Head Gasket or around £100.00 to £200.00 as it stands.

Thanks for the replys. Just as I thought really, looks like it's heading towards the scrapyard. Shame, it's served me well for the last few years. It owes me nothing. Thanks again Kev

Kev, might be worth slinging it on ebay starting at scrap value, will probably get someone local give you a bit more on auction possibly.

Yes,
the 4 month MOT will be enough for some, does it actually run + drive..??
8v motor..??, only about 3 hrs + £30 to sort the head, and a rad is not an expensive item,

Ebay should shift it if you live near ANY large towns,

Charlie
