i have a 94 plate punto gt and within last week i had a problem when i accelarated blew a boost pipe off we fixed then happened again otherday put blew turbocharger pipe off when u accelerate it goes so far and its either a blowing noise or banging or it pulls you back and backfires need help asap thanx

start with giving all your boost hoses a check over for splits and leaks.

second give your afm a clean.

is the injector light on??

so you have put the standard piersberg valve back on?

what is the spec/mod on the car?

try and do a blink test which should bring a fault code up.

all i know is its 1.4 turbo mate had a bit done to it all the words i see under bonnet is bosch when u get to bwt 3500 rpm it splutters and pulls back sometimes back fires ive bought new plugs gunna get some magnecor leads now looking at the 315cc weber injectors

lampy think i have found problem well what it feels like is that there isnt enough pressure for the fuel getting pushed through ive gt a split on the seal in my tank and no fuel cap cos the nobs round my area pinched it also theres a noise i can hear like a loud whining noise coming from near fuel tank any ideas ?

the whining will be your fuel pump, are you leaking fuel?
take the plate off under the rear seat and check the fuel pump housing as the nipples where the fuel lines connect are renowned for breaking leaking but definitely fit a new fuel cap.

have you managed to do a blink test yet?
heres a link of how to do it and a list of coeds.

ive changed the battery on it so i dont think the blink test will work but my mate told me to disconnect thu battery over night re attach it then do blink test

whats an em light im new t thu punto gt well a used t have a gt3 but i could run that into ground and all i changed was brakes and rocker cover gasket

any bit of wire will do fella.

sort of relevant i'm sure i read/heard somewhere that gt1's only read out one fault code at a time where as later models will real off multiple fault coeds in one go. basically you have to fix the first coed until the next one will come up that is if you have multiple faults on a gt1???

haven't tested this theory as i'v only ever had one fault at a time in the last 8 years of owning my gt1's

sorry if i'm starting to confuse you lol just wondered if it's true or a load of crap
