Hello everyone ..
I have a punto MK1 and the hand brake light on the dashboard not working at all.
I checked the bulb with a multimeter, but it was O.K, also switched between bulbs but it didn't help.
Unplugged and replugged the 4 connectors on the instrument panel, but the song remains the same.
I checked the hand brake switch (which is actually just a tin with a spring), but it was clean and working correctly.

As far as I know, when I pull the hand brake, the switch connects to the vehicle body and gives ground, so I took it up so it won't connect to ground, but the bulb still not lit.
Where this wire leads to? I saw it goes under the carpet, to the electrical harness and into the insulation of the firewall.
Is the wire leads directly to the dashboard or to the fuse box / relay?
Is the bulb should turn on like the battery or oil light when I turn the switch to MAR?

Have a joyful day :)
Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone who wants to know what the problem was.
One of the leads in the printed circuit in the dashboard was cut off.
Apparently this happens when disconnecting one of the connectors, this pulling the circuit with it and torn the leads.
The rpm lead may also be cut because it is located at the same connector.

The switch in the handbrake is only a Piece of metal with a spring that touches the ground and should not be a problem with it.
There is a guide with images on Fiat Club Israel.
