Ok guys i kno most of you wont agree with this and just think its silly

BUT!

before you post negative replies and i kno u will! :p
jus hear me out lol

Ive been offered a 1.8 HGT engine PLUS all parts (manifold, wiring loom, ecu, flywheel, clutch and engine sensors) and i already have a HGT gearbox,

so with that in mind what sort of price do u believe i would have to pay a garage to do the work, if its possible! heh, just an estimate

Cheers

How much is your car worth?

+ how much would the engine cost and brakes and suspension, etc?

+ how much would a garage charge for the swap (i dont know if its possible mind)?

If you add all these up, could you get a HGT for less...

I think it would be about the same price as getting a proper HGT.

Don't forget the amount your insurance would cost you when the brokers found out you were doubling the power of the car.

But still, it's up to you. If you go ahead, let us know how it goes. But keep an eye on those HGT prices while you're checking out the cost of the conversion ;)

yeah on 2nd thoughts just sell the 1.2 and get a HGT or another car if you need the extra performance, thats what Id do anyway.

Unless your car is heavily modded i really wouldnt bother mate.
The only reason i put a GT lump in mine is because its a cabriolet and they never made a GT one.

The majority of people who do engine swaps do most, if not all of the work themselves. That way they keep the costs down. If you cant do the work yourself then imo dont bother.

The main reason i ask is because i've been offered the engine and all parts for FREE! so it wud only be the cost of actually swopping the engines and tuning it in
