Want to know if the ventilation on MK1 punto is problematic. Other then opening my windows ventilation is poor. The button controlling the flaps is stuck into one position so that may be the issue. But from your experience on a working MK1 is the ventilation any good? Seems poor in the summer as anything above 60mph is painful with the windows down. No problem in winter as the little flow there is, is enough to heat up my car.

Although i don't have massive amount of experience with mk1's my old P60 and my current GT both had/have very good ventilation ;)
Thanks, looks like I have to try to fix the stuck button as this suggest the ventilation flaps are stuck in an unfortunate position and inhibit the air flow. Does the MK1 has pollen filter?

The vent flaps been stuck won't be helping it and as for a pollen filter if it has 1 its under the scuttle pannel I bleave has the cooling system been flushed and refilled recentley? If not it might want doing and all the air bleading out

As for the heating and ventilation in my mk1 carnt folt it I think its good and way to warm! Wish I had air on

Yes have recently replaced coolant, heating is fine and cooling system is behaving. Is just not much air comes thought the vents. This is not problem when is cold as the heating is good just with the little air that comes in. Is problem when is hot outside and you need ventilation to be good so that I don't have to open the windows when going at motorway speeds. Is not a big problem but if it can be improved I will attempt to do it. Loosening the board is a pain of a job to do and will need to be done to see why the flaps are stuck.

the ventilation/heating on the MK1 is excellent, most likely yours is stuck in recirculation mode, that's the lever just below the heater knobs; no pollen filter on my 1997 model....
make sure no leaves etc in the air intake...

Yes the recirculation thing is actually working OK. I had to improvise to stick into normal mode as it was going in recirculation mode after some time. In recirculation mode is really bad as it causes the windows to mist badly in winter.

I tend to get condensation on my mk1 60 when is raining, no pollen filter either on mine checked before. I usually have to have air blowing on windscreen to keep it clear.

Even my sisters 2011 Peugeot gets similar condensation so I just put it down to one of those things.
