hi peeps

just wondering if anyone can help me with the size of the throttle body on my car mk1 punto sporting 1.2..

i want me build my own induction kit it has 1 on there now but its very poorley put together.old bits n bobs and alot of black tape.lol.sounds good tho and is located inside the front bumper (good spot i fort)

i could just wait till the morning and get a tape out and see what size it is but i want to order the parts now and its dark.lol.

i think 1 of my mates said it was 70 or 71mm but i cant remember

Sorry to drag up an old topic but does anyone have the answer to this? 70/71 or something completely different.

no idea off the top of my head, just buy a vernier caliper - can get them for a few quid...

quick ebay search brings up this for just over a 5er to your door, everyone should have one of them in their tool kit anyway.

To be fair Blu I have one a work, not unlike the guy above I was merely being impatient and wanting to order NOW!!!!

got a tape measure lying about....? that ill get you close enough measurement.

or.... get a bit of string and wrap it round tb and mark, you could then measure the bit of string and use maths to work out the diameter from its circumference (diameter = circumference divided by 3.14)

Wow! Top of the head maths or a little google refresher?? To late for messing around now I'll just measure properly tomorrow.

i can do maths me formulae and stuff i have no problems remembering but rubbish at mental arithmetic. Can't win them all :shrug:

See for me doing the math is no problem it's remembering the numbers that I get stuck on... What's pi? 3.something,something,something....
