the rear wiper on my punto (T reg) isnt working

been trying to repair and looking through this forum for tips


so far from what ive read its fuse number 7? 15amp ..which ive checked and is fine, my front wipers are working fine and so is the demister at the back.

also read something about relay? ..but also another one said the t reg punto doesnt have a relay?

Could someone please help me :worship:, i dont want to buy a new rear windscreen motor if it turns out to be something else

Check for 12v to it at the connector. If you get 12v, put 12v directly to the motor. If no 12v to motor (use a multimeter) but a 12v tester lights up, fault on earth side.

If the wiper motor doesn't work with 12v, it's kaput. Get one from a scrappy.

Rear wiper not working - make it working again!

Rear wiper motor has extra fuse inside of it!
So it may be not "kaput". Check it by dismantling motor (remove rotor from stator).
If it's blown, just short it (by soldering piece of wire on fuse connections) - motor will work again. And don't forget to clean and grease wipers "gearbox" and axle (can be seized by rust).

Front wipers motor doesn't have this (extra fuse).

My T reg puinto wiper stoped working about 6 month ago too. Initially it was going slowly and then one day it stopped working. Removed the wiper from it but I think I must have broken the wiper attach mechanism and end up not bothering with the thing altogether. Will be nice to know what is wrong though in case I fix it one day.

Normally it's the contacts between boot lid and body work the right hand pin may have lost connections which causes the problem check prong to see of there is damage to it
