Sorry to post what seems like alot of new threads, but i found the guide thread about punto ecu/coilpack checks, but nothing mentioned what i found.

When i went to "try" to sort the oil leak from behind the coilpack mount, i took the leads off the coilpack and found the metal conductors where the leads plug into, there was alot of green stuff, i can only describe (and im sorry) as snot!

It has no smell to it, and doesnt seem to affect it, but just wondered if its normal? I imagine its some sort of mould? The car was sat still for over a year before i owned it so i spose anything applies..

If the conductors are copper (quite likely) then they corrode as they are bare metal then copper corrodes green (copper oxide) could just be that, clean it off
And coolest leaks in the area can leave green/blue crystallised type residue as well either way clean it up see if it comes back noting really to worry about

didnt think it was the worst thing in the world, thanks for the re-assurance :)
