Bloody car wont start 2day ,it fired up then died and wouldnt start again after tryin it a few times i could smell fuel no signs of a leak think maybe it flooded it, since tryed bumping it and jumping it and no joy ,engine turns but seems slow even with 4x4 trying 2 jump it. car is a 1.2 8v all i can think is maybe starter motor but its never done this b4 HELP haha

Has the timing belt broken?

Nope bcos i can see the belt bcos the cover is off :/ was first thing i thought aswell

If the battery is fully charged

it could be an earthing issue
Use a Negative Jump lead on the Engine Mount and the other on the Negative terminal and try again

if the car Jumps into the life Alot better, the issue is most likely with the Engine to Body earth

if the Symptoms dont improve, could forwell be the Starter motor itself

Cheers ziggy cant try anythimg yet cos im at work and cars dead in ma garden,tried to jump it from a 4x4 thats just had a brand new battery, my battery also seems to b fine, definatly doesnt seem to turn over as fast as normal

Ok so ive had the battery & starter off cleaned all conections and put it all back on again ,still same problem ,fuel pumps working,checked spark plugs nice sparks from them ,engine still seems to turn over slowly ,pretty much sure its the starter motor ,i never seen one do this b4 tho they usually just stick ,whats best option ,buy new ,get it reconned or go to the scrappers ?

No forgot to try that but all conections have been cleaned and have had jump leads froms another car on it and it still does the same
