Will be ordering a new lock for 50 quid as my one has a problem engaging the wipers and heaters on key turn. I've taken the barrel lock out and know that can slide in the new one so no need for key worries. Just worried about the pointed bolts holding the thing on, someone said use a chise and hammer to get them off but I can see me messing this up. Any advice would be appreciated.

Are the top of the bolts flush or sliftly raised? If flush the only way is a hammer and punch (less chance of #@?!ing it up than using chisle). If they are raised then you could try cutting a groove in the top with a hack saw blade for two reasons, it will give the punch grip when walloping it with the hammer and two once loosened you maybe able to get a flat head screwdriver on it...

Honestly ive nver done this before :)

they are here and look like this
