Hi fiat mates,

It´s been few months that my car has been annoying, that is I have bought TWO NEW SETS!! of bosch spark plug wires, and the sparks just blow throught the legs which go on the spark plugs:bang:.

Does anyone have a good idea what I should do?, Are Bosch just **** or what?, do you know of any reliable manufactures?

Any advise would be great:D.

Thanks.

R type is essential. Otherwise the ECU will pick up the interference and you'll get all kinds of issues. Resistor plugs wrere introduced specifically for EFI.

The "legs"? I'm a bit puzzled. If the clip holding the cables is metal, there's a chance it's abrading its way through the cables. Try avoiding that or using a plastic clip.

The Bosch ones are nothing special, just cheap replacement ones, but I'd like to see a pic before recommending anything more expensive.

thanks for quick replies guys(y)

The spark plugs are almost new, I was fixing now and managed to seal the legs with duck tape and silicon spray for temporary fix:), and used 3 of the old ones. But what are R types?:D.

And btw the old ones were not original, the heads on the legs were modified by cutting them so they would fit in the holes, by previous owner:mad:, and the wires are much longer than they´re suppose to

But I still need good reliable ones, but the legs that i was talking about go on the spark plugs, excuse my lack in english I don´t know how to explain properly, but I will put picture soon of the bosch wires.

I only managed to take these two before the battery in camera was empty:eek:, this was the worst damaged wire. Two others have smaller damage.

Most likely a combination of the wrong ear plugs/moby combination or the Armani mouse mat melted the silicone. :)

That Was help full wasn't it :)

The spark energy will take the easiest route. If the connection to the plug is loose that might be enough to cause it to track elsewhere.
