The previous one appears broken and I was wondering what the cheapest AM/FM antenna I could get to replace it is? The car is a 1997 model, so I'm not going for anything high-end.

they have an allen type fastener behind the light fitting so i would suggest a scrappy as a direct replacement
they used to be £15 complete with cable from fiat but thats about 7 years ago ishk

What part it missing? Is it just the end? i.e the slot is still in the roof with all the wires? - if so you can get a cheap one from halfords or somewhere for £4

kool, you can get a replacement from halfords for £10. the £4 was for use if the aerial snapped. The scrap yard or ebay may have some for cheaper
Or you could try eurocarparts, i've not checked shop4parts so i don't know if they sell them...
Main dealer, radio shop. You might be able to buy this part online but i wouldn't know what fit you need - screw i think, but don't know the size.
Going instore they might be able to help you find the right one, and possibly fit it for you or even check there and then?
Eurocarparts can check the fit etc - saved me £120 by doing so - he left the till to check the parts to my part and they were differnt, and checked again before deciding they didn't sell the part i was after - sent me to main dealer and cost me just £5 - hence the saving me from the £120 mistake
