which part is been replaced?
Top or Bottom cover or Both?

As for the covers - its a Really Really simple job

There is 1 bolt behind the Oil filler cap for the Top cover
and 1 for the Lower Cover about 3/4 down - Just above the Pholic wheel which you pop out and Pull off :)

pop new covers in - Bolt back up

I did a repair on my top cover - just used a Corner Bracket and it works brilliant :)

think its all one cover?
i have a n reg 1.2 auto punto selector

by timing belt cover, are you talking about the black bit of plastic that covers the timing belt and pulleys at the side of the engine?

If so, 4 bolts hold it on,
2, front of engine in clear view
1, back of engine at top
1, at the bottom of the cover in the middle

.Easy way to remove is to take alternator belt off and the crank pully - where the belt went around the engine.

Then it just pops out(y)

Or you can undo the bolts and twist and turn it untill it comes out(y) - might break this way

thanks for your help guys done it today and was fairly easy in the end(y)
