hi just need some information on my mk1 sporting, she starts up fine but revs to about 2.5 when it settles it hits 1.5, but the biggest headache is when i start driving, i pull my foot down then loses all power for a few seconds its like a kangaroo, then shoots off,

any ideas?

when was she last given a good service

unsure just brought it, didnt get any service history, just wondered if there was a bigger problem than just a service

Was going to ask the same question as benny.

Take it to a trustworthy garage and ask them to do a full service on the car. things like this come from poor service and a good clean and looking after it can solve a lot of things.

u'll prob see change in the running of th car if u have spark plugs, oil and the filters changed
