Recently been having problems with the heater and windscreen wipers noticed this some time ago but wasn't really an issue up until now.

In the mornings the heater and windscreen wipers do not function at all i.e windscreen wipers dont wipe and the heater doesnt switch on but funny enough both seem to be ok later in the day, ive checked all the fuses they are fine thought it might be the relay freezing, if that's even possible! Any suggestions on what it could be and where do I find the relays for the heater and wipers

Relay Yes Could be sticking
giving it a tap could possibly help

But it might be easier to get new relays

I'd check the earth for dampness.

Remove, clean, abrade, refit, tighten, lubricate.

Lay in secondary earths if felt neccessary.

Thanx for the replies guys, but where do I find the relay for the heater and what one is it?

Any part numbers so I can order it from fiat today

The earths from the components that are inoperative.

Pretty sure Mk 1 will not have a relay for the fan motor, just the resistor pack.

Certainly the wiper earth can be dodgy because the motor is in rubber mounts, just loop an earth from the motor body to the bulkhead mount.

Can vouch for this from personal experience. Not a big job to change.

Tried changing the resistor pack did not work! Its got no power going into it, got the multimeter out and ran a test on both the fan power inputs and the wipers but all look dead!

Can i jus bridge a power connection from another cable??
