Sat in traffic and i notice steam bellowing from under my bonnet, pull over and water is all over my radiator. When I get the car back home after waiting for it to cool for a few minutes, I realised that the water may of come from the cap. I cant find or see where water is coming from anywhere else.

I just wanted to know if it is just the cap's seal that has gone?

It could be just a simple case of the seal broken which you should be able to see. but if not it does not sound good and could be very expensive to fix. id thought it would be best to get a michanic to have a look rather than pokeing around.

Top up the coolant with water and bleed it properly. Start engine and see where its leaking -

# Coolant on floor below rad - radiator leaking.

# Water on floor under engine and maybe dripping from cambelt cover - Crossover pipe seal leaking.

# Bubbles blowing over the coolant vent pipe into tank - blown head gasket
