Hi im new too all this so bear with me

when i went to the car this morning i noticed the clock (the analogue one where the rev counter usually should be:() has stopped at nine o clock last night. it had been working the night before and was showing the correct time.
Any ideas what has stopped it? i was maybe thinking it was the fuse?

The other problem is the aftermarket cd player isnt turning on so i assumed it had just broken and to check got the standard radio that came with the car, but that didnt turn on either.
Any ideas? i was thinking its maybe the fuse again?

Not sure if it was just a coincidence they both broke in the same night? but it is very annoying

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers, Stewart

Fuse box is to the right of the steering column and another one under the bonnet by the battery.

Have you checked the battery terminals and that its not gone flat? Also check the battery earth cable to the chassis and engine. Big fat and black you cant miss it.

I know where the fuse boxes are but how do i actually check the fuses?

Battery terminal are fine and the battery isnt flat, the engine starts and the earth cable seems ok

Hi there, I'm new to the forum today and stumbled across this thread.

I hope you've sorted it out now but if not this may help. I had the same problem and after playing around a bit I worked out it was a simple fuse blowing.

If you look in the fuse panel it is the fuse on the top row, the blue 15amp on the right. This fuse is for the clock, radio, interior light and also the cigarette lighter.

Hope it was some help.

Chris
