rite im doing this for my sister as wen she puts her stereo (standard grundig) on at what ever volume the speakers in the front and now the back sound dreadfull with loads of distortion even on very low volumes. she doesnt want a loud good quality stereo she just wants it to work ok.

Get her a new car stereo for christmas, you can pick up a pretty decent one now for about 70 quid. You might try checking the connections to the back of the standard stereo too, if the speakers are still working then they cant have all blown so yeh sounds like a problem with your connections or maybe the unit has just broken, get a new one if i were you!

yer but she only wants a normal cassette and i cant afford £70 im only 14, i dont even spend that on my mum!

get ur ass to a local market or bowlers pick a cassette h/u for £10 ish

or you could try getting down the scrappies and picking up some new speakers. I had dodgy noises coming from one of my front ones at louder volumes.. replaced with one from scrap yard and now I can crank it up
