Hi i've got a 1999 V-reg Mk1 Punto and want to remove the factory fit radio. I've got the clips to remove the unit from the dashboard and its come out, but I can't manage to disconnect the wire connections from the back! The aerial comes out easily enough but I don't know how to take the main coloured wires out from the connector. Any advice on this would be a big help as I'm ordering a CD player from car audio direct today.

Thanks,
Vik

Yank it out.....mine took a bit of effort....either that or there might be a release bit to hold down....but i think it was just a case of yanking it when i did it.

cheers! was scared to use a lot of force in case i broke it cos i wanna keep it in case i sell my punto in the future. would it be the small unit with the wires connected to it that i yank out? sorry if that sounds dumb

yeah it's a standard audio block (white i think, with about 8 wires?).
