hi thank for takin the time to read this . hope you can help me?. i have a punto gt . the thermostat bust and stayed shut si took it out but then the rad sprung a leak so i went all out with it . i got a new water pump, new thermostat with housin with sensor , new rad, new dash temp sensor, and some lovely red antifreeze.:bang: BUT my car temp just goes up up and away, it goes to just over half and the fan cut in, thats ok but when i drive it dont go down ,the fan comes on while i driven and when i give it some it goes up to three quarters or bit more . when i stop car i can un screw water cap and it just gives cup of little bubbs but dont over flow or go mad like its that hot . i have checked the oil and water for mixin or los but notinbut i have lost boost pressure but that could be my actuator.:bang: could this be air looked if so how do i sort it , if you could help please help thanks:worship::worship::worship::worship::worship::worship::worship::worship:

there is a twisty knob behind the air box on the water pipes just twist it while the engine is running and the water should come out then keep refilling the water bottle

Ade's got that right, there is like a small screw type bleed valve, twist it when the engine is on, another good thing is to run your interior fan at the same time. Squeeze any pipes and then obviously make sure the water level doesn't fall too much for when you are finished.

I always bleed punto mk2's cold, never had a problem however if you use the search function you will find loads of threads on this.

always bleed every thing cold and not running
