So I decided to pull them out and filler over the gaps and spray black. to go with my black and silver interior so this is what I did next
I found out the hard way how annoying it is when you put too much on, and after getting really annoyed at sanding I nearly gave in but stuck at it, I had a few air holes in too so I had to go over with tiny amounts to fill in those gaps but after that I began priming with filler primer, my first time using and boy is it good! It's like chucking on a thick film of primer ha.
So I ended up with this as my final result.
I can see people thinking "Eh why have you done that?"
I may get some custom made stickers to go over for my dials but I just wanted to experiment and try something new
Hi. I used "body filler" from my local motor shop. It comes in a bright yellow packet, just a tad larger than a toothpaste. You get 2 tubes in the packet, a large tube and a tiny tube. The tiny tube being the hardener. Then you mix a little hardner with your filler, try not to mix it too much though as you will get air in it and when you sand there will be lots of air pockets which isn't good as the finish will be bad.what did you use to fill the holes with?
looks good and i wudnt mind giving that a try
who makes it? i want to get the right stuff, ive already got some car body filler in a tin, would that do the trick?
Couldn't get pics of my new parts earlier as my mums camera is weird and makes everything lighter, even when the settings are changed. I'll use n95 later to take them
Just done a quick photoshop. See if you can guess the change. I think I like it. But is it worth the £10? that's the question
