Hey mate congrats on passing your theory :) Now just to pass your driving test like myself i had to rebook mine and the earliest appointment they had for me was the 27th July so if i was you id book it as soon as, you will probably get beginning of august for definite

Obviously that's if your confident on everything.

I done a lesson today and the instructor was doing me a mock test and he said that if i was to go in for the test today i would have passed with only 2 minors, 1 because i was coming to a junction and had it in second gear and was observing to see if there was any cars coming and because i slowed down too much in second the car should have been in 1st so it was a gear fault and 2 because again another gear fault i didn't put it in reverse for doing the turn in the road causing me to roll forward but managed not to hit the curb.

So I decided to pull them out and filler over the gaps and spray black. to go with my black and silver interior so this is what I did next

I found out the hard way how annoying it is when you put too much on, and after getting really annoyed at sanding I nearly gave in but stuck at it, I had a few air holes in too so I had to go over with tiny amounts to fill in those gaps but after that I began priming with filler primer, my first time using and boy is it good! It's like chucking on a thick film of primer ha.
So I ended up with this as my final result.
I can see people thinking "Eh why have you done that?"
I may get some custom made stickers to go over for my dials but I just wanted to experiment and try something new :D

Hi. I used "body filler" from my local motor shop. It comes in a bright yellow packet, just a tad larger than a toothpaste. You get 2 tubes in the packet, a large tube and a tiny tube. The tiny tube being the hardener. Then you mix a little hardner with your filler, try not to mix it too much though as you will get air in it and when you sand there will be lots of air pockets which isn't good (n) as the finish will be bad.

I would stay away from fibreglass filler, as the holes are two small and the strands of fibreglass are two large. That's in my experience though.
And I wouldn't put two much on like I have done in the picture with the compute3r screen behind it, it took hours to sand, I got fed up and nearly threw it in the bin! in heinsight I would have ust put slightly more over the whole, then just sanded it over.
Hope that helps (y)
Dan

who makes it? i want to get the right stuff, ive already got some car body filler in a tin, would that do the trick?

Couldn't get pics of my new parts earlier as my mums camera is weird and makes everything lighter, even when the settings are changed. I'll use n95 later to take them
Just done a quick photoshop. See if you can guess the change. I think I like it. But is it worth the £10? that's the question

Cheers for the comments people. I think i'll stick with it a little longer than 6 months, maybe another 6 to get ncb.
My bonnet is worse for wear, the colour has gone off slightly and it's not, how can I explain it, it's not lacquered. I was wondering opinions on an anthracite bonnet? If it was done at a shop? I might p/shop it tomorrow to see how it would look
