First couple of pictures are the state I picked it up in, I managed to source it on eBay locally, and bought it at £325 because of a cracked bumper and dented bonnet, a bit tatty here and there but that's been sorted out.

So this is my 1998 (S) Punto Sporting 1.2
Bought it with 88k on the clock.

These are the first pictures I saw of the car, and thought although it was tatty I had to go view it to have a closer look:

Not soon after I colour coded calipers and started destripping the sides. I replaced the side repeaters with some fresh ones because the lenses broke off the others.

Then I.... sorted the previous owners bodge job of fitting 6x9's in the door, by getting some door pods...

And making it look much more tidier

Then I put a set of the same speakers with components/tweeters in the rear, as well as sorting out my sub and amp for some decent sound.

I had to change the rear bumper to something a bit more fresher as the paintwork on the replacement one I got was faded. After this I dewipered the rear.

Then.....

Carbon interior novitec surrounds.

Matching gear gaiters, bit of a neat upgrade.

Overall.

After a wash.

Can't believe how shiny it came out.

New 20 groove discs.

Recently it's been treated to a new battery, starter motor. Had a bit of a clean. Passed the MOT with only some welding on seatbelt anchorage points needed.

And here she sits....

Next to:

Colour code handles
Colour code front bumper
Colour code side skirts
Wide mouth front bumper
Possibly GT3 alloys?!

Cheers guys, I wanted to do something not too over the top.

I want it all smoothed like a euro styled punto, all colour coded, so it looks clean and tidy. Then I want to put some Lenzo RS5's on in white with a polished lip.

Keep it simple!

Isn't whats on the front already a widemouth bumper?
Also can you not just get current alloys painted rather than being a new set which is IIRC the same but dark grey.

Is a nice looking car tho good work fixing it up and plans seem good too.(y)

Yeah but you can cut the slats out... like so... and I'm looking to completely smooth the front bumper out and colour code it too. Here's an inspirational picture I found!!

Current alloys not worth it really, bit of a state. If I had a spare set I'd put them on and refurb these ones.

Just what I'm planning, or even 16''s, but probably stay at 15''s then I could possibly lower even further to something like 60mm for a right euro sleeper look!

she's a she... lol

Looks good vix, yellow punto's FTW

Yes I am a she! Haha I always had the problem, my surname shortened gave me the nickname Binno so I never use that as screennames anymore, and further more drumm3r didn't give much justice so I thought, hey I'll change it to Vix and it'll be fine. But guess what, still a male screen name eh? Maybe I better change it to something like ~*vix*x~x0x, or something for confirmation! Haha!

Thought I'd post some pictures up:

Next plans are to:
Colour code handles/mirrors etc.
Find an abarth kit and abarth spoiler.
Have wheels powdercoated white.
Focus on getting the interior tidied up.

At the weekend decided to wash the motors, so here are some pictures. Also now with 15'' Konig League Tantrums.

Think they came out well for a hard days work!

Looks really good, is it me or is the rear bumper a slightly lighter shade of yellow?

Apart from that, awesome.

Time for an update then: it's been ages as you can tell but been busy working on the SE2, with regards to upgrading brakes, lights, interior, and getting around to a bit of bodywork. So now decided to spend some time on the punto rather than the Se2.

But for the punto I've ordered a few things, just to tidy her up and got myself a better headunit as the volume kept getting stuck on max. But just awaiting tax, and then my insurance, then I'll be good to go again. Then plans are lowered, get the peco system on and perhaps some deep dish alloys.
Here's for now.
The post arrives:

Fitted in my new headunit other day, iPod and bluetooth compatible, made my self a disc with over 100 tracks on, but could go up to 1000 if I like. Sound quality is hundred times better. Despite having fusion speakers and thinking they were great, this unit really makes the most of them, and plays dvds too.
